Carbon literacy means better knowledge and understanding of climate crisis and the ability to communicate and act on that understanding, as individuals and organisations. We deliver carbon literacy training specifically designed for creatives, smaller theatre companies, and other arts organisations, helping us all to create in more sustainable ways. This is an eight-hour training certified by the Carbon Literacy Project, and can be delivered as a full day, two half days, or in four blocks of two hours depending on your needs. 

Throughout human history and across cultures, people have made sense of the world around them by telling stories - myths, folk tales, fairy tales, and legends of all kinds. In this workshop, you'll learn to work with these stories, retelling and reimagining them to make sense of today's world - whether you're aiming to address urgent issues, engage visitors in a museum space, or start work on a new play or writing project. Bring your own myths or work with ones we provide, through writing, improv and devising activities. 

Greek drama offers endless possibilities for adaptation - so where to start? Our workshop provides space for you to think through what you want from your adaptation of Greek tragedy or comedy, helping you to work through the conventions and pecularities of the original plays and the possibilities for transformation in performance today. No prior knowledge of ancient Greek language, literature or history is required.

What does it mean to make art together? How can we collaborate authentically in the creative process? What about working with academics, museum curators, and others? You'll learn some key principles of co-creation and knowledge exchange, develop your own ethos for collaboration, and try out some practical approaches to working together in developing creative projects. Suitable for experienced collaborators or those just starting out.
